Ice Road Truckers, or ‘truck drivers on ice,’ are individuals who risk their lives during the winter months by transporting heavy loads across frozen lakes and rivers in northern Canada. These routes are only accessible for a short period when the ice thickness is sufficient to withstand immense weights. Sometimes, it’s only a matter of a few weeks per year.
